I had this happen to me, but it was random; not after any work done. Anyway, open the trunk, there's a vertical panel on the left. Open that, look around for a wire "hook". Throw a screwdriver into the hook/loop and pull up with quite a bit of force. You will here and feel a jerk, which is the parking brake manually releasing. You can now drive your car although you'll be unable to use the parking brake. Side note, my parking brake fixed itself later in the day (super weird), but if yours doesn't, just take it to get reset. Hope this helps

EDIT: I'm not sure if you actually need help with releasing the brake so you can drive it; I just assumed that's what you wanted. As for why it happened, I really don't know
