If you've ever owned a BMW out of warranty, you should know how expensive maintenance costs are. 03-06 should be out of warranty unless extended. Just as any other vehicle, you get what you put in...i make sure to to address all maintenance issues promptly or preventively.
I suggest you do a search on xoutpost to review the typical maintenance issues. On the 4.6iS, the most common issue is the torque converter...if not addressed immediately, it will cause the oil pump and trany to fail.
