My 2012 X6 50i (Black Engine Cover) starting to burn oil after 50k miles. I am sure the engine will last a long time if you keep doing your regular maintenance and replace parts. So far the most expensive things I have replaced for this car are upper/oil pan gasket, Vacuum pump, Injectors (Under Customer Care Package), Front Driveshaft (Under Customer Care Package), Transmission fluid mix and programming.
Currently I am at 65k miles and I am planning to keep the car until 100k miles for sure. It is a great car for sure but expensive to keep. Something I have to watch out for will be O2 sensors, valve stem seals, torque converter (vibration on the low end accelerations)
