Peter...FYI, I now use a NOCO G1100 picked up for 50 bucks on sale at Crappy T:

I also picked up the quick disconnect charging lead which also has a charge status light:

Grabbed the NOCO because of the AGM setting, although some batterytender ones, like this one do lead acid, Gel and AGM:

Reading more on this issue (can do that when yor semi retired at 52!..make that more retired than semi now at 54)...seems its the higher amp trickle chargers (1.5 amp) are the ones that may cause damage. So if you are .75 to 1.25...then probably fine...The Battery tender brand ones I looked at don't even allow you to select a setting....It's all electrickery to me. Cheers, Fraggins...
