When you pull the shifter over to the sport mode, do you then pull back on it to put it into first gear in sport mode? When in sport mode you have to pull the shifter back to put it in manual mode first gear so it can then do the launch control. When you hold the brake and mash the gas it will give you the flag. Even though you have it in sport and manual mode(first gear manually selected) it will shift automatically until you let off the gas.
