Diesel fuel is plentiful here in Texas - yes, a lot of people have diesel Ford and Chevy trucks. I would guess that at least 1/3 of the gas stations have diesel. Remote areas of Texas almost always have diesel because those areas are usually agricultural in nature - i.e. lots of trucks and farm equipment that need diesel.
