Photo below is a 275/45-20 tire. This size barely fits. Also rubs the louvered vent and will break a couple of slats.

Thank you PAX5 for sharing this experience. I was about to buy 295/40-20 full round fingers crossed but would have ended selling those bloody tyres here in the end
So, if the 275/40-20 has the correct diameter for the front , what kind of solutions you have set in the rear if there's 11x20 vs the 10x20 in front? The original 315/35-20 is a bit tough decision as winter tyre... And there shouldn't be difference in diameter of the tyres with automatic transmission like the X5 has, right?
