i tried to do this on my 2004 4.4i when i had that trim and they were going to charge $600 in parts and like $600 in labor. but i agree the black glass trim is a gamechanger.
I just bought an S4 and am trying to sort out same thing.
Go to a good body shop though because they have to take out window panes etc. so requires a pro.
