On the 35d, the dip stick can be located between the engine cover and the intake tube the goes from the radiator support to the air box. There’s a black oblong dip stick. Pull it out, wipe it off, reinsert and verify your oil level.

Let me go ahead and take a look, internet always more reliable than dealer since they told me there isnt one. So since there is a oil dipstick im pretty sure there is a trans fluid one too? My 89towncar, 79 Eldorado and c3 corvette have dipsticks but its pretty sad to see BMW cheap out on those stuff...☹
