Interesting. Cost aside my thought was if the driver is incapacitated CD should help. When I had my accident, I had no idea what happened and woke up to my friend telling me someone was talking to us through speakerphone and help is on its way.
Retrofitting seems like an option, albeit an expensive one, for me.
Has anyone had success in getting BMW to renew ConnectedDrive for an additional year though? From what the BMWCD and BMWNA reps were telling me, I could have renewed prior to Jan 1, 2016 but that was the cutoff and I'm SOL now.
