My question is, can I replace the damaged one with a brand new identical tire?

The tires had exactly 3410 miles on it, of which 2200 miles was highway driven across the country in a single trip.

Does 3400 miles make a difference in overall diameter?
The best way to know if it has affected the
diameter is to get a tire tread gauge for 3-4$ and measure the tread gauge and than you can check what was the new tread size on tire rack or some other site

For example the continental RFT comes as 9/32 when new and the Bridgestone was 11/32.. but again each tire is different
