Injectors were replaced in 2012 with better version ...mine on a 2010 X5M went bad at 70k miles ...BMW NA replaced mine on goodwill due to the number of failures on early X5Ms....when I sold my car recently at 100k miles injectors were still fine and I never had any black tips ....after seeing the various issues still come up on the forums regarding the X5M im glad I sold
for P85D ...faster car with no gas !
