Good thing I found this before buying the wheel... I too would really like to add the flappers to a 2009 35d.
I really hope it just comes down to coding.
The one thing I'd ask is whethythe type of paddle makes a difference: I know there's am older kind where you pull and push either left or right to upshift or downshift, while the other newer has one to upshift and one to downshift.
