I'm resigned to the fact that our crappy, pothole-ridden roads will cause the most well built tank to eventually develop some rattles. That doesn't excuse the cheap, flimsy plastic seat bases and HVAC ducts BMW uses in their high end cars. So with that in mind, any rattle or squeak has always been solved by a call to the dealership for a service appointment. The rattle fixes have always been covered under warranty for me so there's no point to me wasting my time finding the rattles and then felt taping everything. Let BMW take on that time and cost
