Just make sure to click it into first for L/C. You can leave it in sport and it will still shift on its own but its not technically L/C. You want to only see the 1. Not s1.
Although i have seen it get confused now that you mention it. I let my uncle take her for a rip and he was struggling to get the launch control to work. He would load it up and the flag wouldnt show up then when he would go we would just bounce off the rev limiter in 1st. He eventually figured it out though.
