People observing that on different monitors, with different degrees of calibration, will "correctly" see different colors. By "correct" I mean that their eyes and mind told them the right answer, either Orange or Red, but the monitor did NOT present the color as accurately as the source file.

That was actually part of my point when the "discussion" first came up.
Long story short, we're discussing whether Sakhir Orange (leather) is orange or red. That's a crop from a pic of my SO interior.
I say it depends on the lighting (in person) and on white balance/color spaces in photos and online, but there's definitely an orange hue to it.
On my calibrated monitor, this pic looks just about exact to the color I see in person.
