Took my 2012 X5 50i for the n63 campaign and they said the injectors were stuck and that they have to get a new engine head. I'm trying to read more about this, but generally why would injectors get stuck and how bad is this?

The dealership says that the car will be good as new after they install the new engine head but I'm worried that this may indicate unmet needs in the past that lead to future problems.
