I purchased the older H8-160 awhile back, no codes or issues at all. The 180 is the successor to the 160.
One of the complaints by some was that with the 160, the rings weren't both the same brightness. While true, it wasn't enough of a difference o bother me personally.
Hopefully, these updated versions also turn into position more than the 160. With the 160, you can tell that they won't rotate as much as the OEM bulbs, giving you the impression that they might fall out over time. They don't, but it's still a bit disconcerting for me.
