Agreed.
I would not have went to all this trouble if the truck were a darker color
...or if I had chosen a different wheel.
20" 214s would have looked perfect with the black trim, but I went with a 22" wheel instead. The larger wheels looked great on my buddys' white X5M, but didn't go so well with the original color scheme of my truck. They just looked too big instead of just right. Lowering the truck with H&R 1.2s helped alot, but the black trim still created an illusion of too much space for such large wheels.
This is why I decided to paint the trim.
