X5 E70 wheel diameter max variation, Staggered 22"

Hey all,

First time poster here with a question regarding the maximum diameter variation between the front and rear wheels on my 2012 E70 X5 x35i

Ive done a fair bit of research here but havent found anything definitive on what the limits are. My concern is with the Gearbox/transmission.

Ive purchased a set of 22in wheels, 22x10.5 Front, 22x12 Rear and am now searching for the best tire combo.

Stock my X5 had 275/40-20 Front, 315/35-20 Rear which gives a Diameter Variance of 0.07% (728mm x 728.5mm), basically identical.

The common set up I see on a 22in wheel is either:
295/30-22 Front, 335/25-22 Rear = Diameter Variance: 1.29%
(735.80mm x 726.30mm)

or 285/30-22 Front, 335/25-22 Rear = Diameter Variance: 0.48%
(729.80mm x 726.30mm)

My preference is to go with the wider front tire (295/30-22) to avoid excessive stretch (not interested in the stretched look) on my 22x10.5 front rim.

What level of diameter variance is acceptable? Ive heard anything from "no more than 1%" to "anything under 3%". Ive seen a lot of 22" set-ups similiar to the one I've planned... anyone ever hear of issues? Thanks!!
