As much as I'm sick of Hamilton winning, it appears that he generally avoids these turn 1 debacles. I don't know if anyone has the stats, but aside from a few times he's been rear-ended, Hamilton tends to get away cleanly.
I know he's often on pole - which makes it easier to avoid crashes, but even when Vettel's on pole or on the front row, he has had his fair share of collisions.
I seem to remember a period of time where Hamilton was consistently having bad starts. But even then, he wasn't colliding with anyone.
