I bought 2011 X5 35i in November of 2013 and overall it was a good car but after owning it for couple of years car started having some issues (drivetrain, transmission, AC etc.,) I decided it was time to change that’s how I ended up with 2013 X5M in December of 2015. Despite some personal issues at that time it was an impulse buy
Not sure what’s going to come next and when but so far its great car to drive but also very expensive to own. Even if I'll end up selling my M and not getting another BMW I still gonna have great memories!
Are you currently owning both the 35i and M? That's good you had some experience back in the late 90s. I automatically went in with an 09 e93 335i as my first experience in these plat forms. Had a buddy with a 2002 which was super nice and an E36 M3. Classical and older cars looking flawless when kept up always looks great.
