I knew a guy with an '06 m5 he picked up on CPO. He had the exact same symptoms for 2 months. Finally the dealer decided to be a real mechanic and trace back the power draw.
They found a unit the previous owners insurance mandated be installed. It was called a boomerang. like a lo-jack.
it was slowly draining the battery, so if he left the car for more than 2 days, the battery would be dead.
