well, to update my own thread here... the voltage on carly says only 11.9V, which, annoyingly, is the same as it used to always show before the new battery.
So I've hooked it up to a battery tender and will let it sit over night.
However, I went to clear all the codes, and all of them went away except for the two Transmission codes. So I guess I may have an actual problem with that...
