Coming from E92 platform, want to get a X6, deciding between 30D & 40D and hopefully to get some advices here:
1) what are the common issues with the X6?
E.g with the 335 that I have got, prior to 2009 model is having common problem with the water pump, thermostat & HPFP. Are there any common problems with the Diesel engine in the X6 as well as any revised parts being introduced at certain production year?
2) 40D: earlier model equipped with DOHC with VVT, is the later model with overhead cam better? Or are they pretty much the same?
3) 30D is turbo but 40D is twin turbo, the latter costs an extra $10k, if I use the car as a daily, will 30D be sufficient?
4) in general, any recommendation as to which mode to get?
