Carbotech's and other performance minded pads can offer so much better qualities over OEM or lower end pads.
As an example, better initial bite, lower dust, better performance under hard braking efforts, better performance under high heat environments (downhill towing, etc)
Just because it's a "performance," minded pad, it can often achieve many of what I listed above, and at a decent price over OEM pads.
