Which is why the computer is happy to report you will make 677 miles on next tank, IF you will continue the same low fuel consumption for the past half hour..
My 35d shows various expected range, depending how I have been driving for past half hour. Shows range of 480 if I was in city; usually shows 600+ when filling up near a freeway (since I just got off the freeway, having mpg of 25+).
