Some times the Comfort Access system seems to get confused. The other day I had to get out to check a parking sign, car was running, car noted the key leaving the car but didn't register it coming back in. Gave me the warning that I wouldn't be able to restart the car. When I turned it off, the key fob wouldn't let me lock the car - i.e. it went into lockdown mode. Unlocked itself only after I stuck the key in the slot in the car.
