Basically every n63 will need valve stem seals around 70k miles. So be prepared. Essentially the n63 haves nearly every reliability issue the n62 had but with the additional problem spots of failing injectors now warrantied for 10/120k, timing guide failures and drinking oil.

I would check to see if it smokes. Warm it fully, let it idle for 5 minutes and floor it.. if it smokes insist they repair it. I'd also strongly consider less mileage or an extended warranty. For what it's worth I had good lucky with atp-205 fixing my smokey n62. I'd also recommend getting a low temp thermostat in that n63 right away.

Basically I bought an s63 because it has fewer problems than my n62 or an n63. I deal, with the battery issues by hooking up a battery charger every month to fully recharge the battery. It can be worth it, but it will be high maintenance as it ages.

generally, are there any other issues with the S63?
