Hi-fi audio on X5 having fuzzy sound

I had the Harmon Kardon system on my 335, and it was excellent. My X5 has the hi-fi system in it, and it has a strange sound to it. If I play a cd the sound is pretty good. But when I started to use the satellite radio I noticed everything had this kind of fuzzy/distorted/compressed sound to it. It was really noticeable when people would talk on the different channels. I assumed it was just the fact that it was satellite radio (1st time using it), because it sounded maybe like the old 68 Kbps internet radio . But then I noticed it on the regular radio too. I tried playing around with the settings (which there is only bass/treble), and it didn't really help much. Is this just because the hi-fi system sucks, and everyone else has the same issue. Or is it possible something with my speakers, or antenna?
