If you're self employed you may qualify for a huge truck tax deduction (no pun intended) under IRC 179 for the X5M but not for the regular X5 because of the equally huge weight differential between the two models. Regardless, the M is three vehicles in one: a weekend racer which you will never grow tired of, a weekday ride for the family or a truck for hauling (stuff) (pun intended!). Its worth the negatives if you can afford the time and money for seemingly daily pit stops for fuel. Awesome vehicle the M.
