The 5.0 doesn't get great fuel economy. Like 14-15. The x5m is like 12-13. I guess it depends on what you want out of it. The x5m is an absolute beast. Insanely fun to drive and faster than most anything out there. The 5.0 isn't bad on its own, but pales by comparison. If it were me I'd go for the x5m, but it's all in what's important to you. Can you live with the options on the M? If so and the fuel economy isn't an issue for you than I'd say it's a no brainer. Get the M and be blown away every time you drive it. If fuel economy is an issue get the 5.0. You'll still have fun, but not near as much fun.
