Although understandable this was slightly disappointing as I was able to beat the highway rating easily in my first weekend of ownership, albeit by only 1 mpg...
I know I have been easier on the throttle since I saw the above so we'll see if it comes up any. Honestly it is what it is, I am not going to hypermile in this thing to get 2 mpg better....

wow, that sounds pretty low. I get about 15 mpg with city driving, and 19-20 in highways with my 2012 x5 50i. Mind you, the roads in the seattle area are pretty hilly. I always use Costco premium gas.
