Agree. I didn't even realize the harness went under the grommet until I did the install. Probably won't be an issue, but not ideal. First thing that's going to happen when the car is out of warranty is going to be cutting a new grommet into the DME box. Until then, going to keep the cowl for a added bit of protection.
