Like 2010, BMW gives X5 customers a choice of three engines. The twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 in the xDrive50i remains unchanged, as does the 3.0-liter diesel inline-six from the xDrive35d, but the 3.0-liter gasoline inline-six loses a turbo. However, the turbo it retains is a twin-scroll turbo.
Really? I thought that the 2010 was the last year for the pre-LCI X5, when it still had the naturally aspirated 4.8L N62 V8 and 3.0L N52 I6. Seems like the author was confusing the X5 with the X6, which did indeed start out with the N54 twin turbo (and also had the N63 turbo V8 from the get-go), and then moved to the N55 twin scroll at the same time as the X5 LCI.
