He defends the number, but over in the 135i world no one is pushing that much torque compared to HP on either an N54 or N55, 6-speed or DCT.
I believe the statement that the DCT is torque-limited, again, on what I've seen on the 1-series forum. It's probably why the diesels still use the 6-speed auto.
