Firstly, you are probably aware that your "German" car is made in Spartanburg. So you can expect (unfortunately) quirks and issues to arise...

2nd, I have never heard of an alarm system that "ticks" so cross this one out.
3rd, the cooling fan and circulation pump to cool down the turbos continues to operate for a few minutes after switching off the engine, this is normal operation.
As long as you are running OK with no CEL, I wouldn't worry about it too much...
