Question for you Stussy109. Was any reason given for the carbon build up in the turbo? I have heard of this happening to diesel turbos (only other makes of course). Do you travel only short trips in the car by any chance? One thing about diesels which is not advertised by the car makers is that they need freeway runs in the mix of driving. Short city-only trips foul up the catalytic converter apparently. Certainly in Australia, diesels have grown in popularity and low speed limits and a lack of knowledge about this could lead to issues in the future.

Still for an SUV type vehicle, I don't think I would choose anything else but a diesel (love the torque).
