So since I'm all about preventative maintenance, I decided to swap out the MAP sensor (35d). I have the service records and it had never been changed. Although I dont have any issues or codes, it was cheap enough for me to take care of it today..
..BUT, as sometimes things go..the lower small part of the grommet that stays inside the manifold broke off and fell inside the intake. As i was pulling out the grommet, the rubber broke in half. It might be about 1/4 inch in size over all, its just the tip. I tried to retract it for 20 minutes, and no go. I started the car, no funny noises or sounds, nothing feels weird.
Hopefully I'm good until my next oil service where I will be replacing my valve cover and take another look and see if it can be found and removed(My Indy, not me)..
Should I be worried?
