Paddle shift Retrofit success (partial)

So after spending $30 looking at BMW WDS and a day looking at 100 schematics I realized that I did not even need a retrofit harness for my 4/2011 (MY 2012) build E70 X35i. I can verify as the OP that the paddle shifts works on my LCI and without any coding.

Now the devil is in the details and I am still not sure how the OPs DCT paddles worked as they are completely different than the paddles for the
non-M E70. I chalk it up to the myriad of configurations for wiring and the mechatronics pin out even within a LCI model. I think the OPs mech module uses pin 4 and 5 of the transmission with a pulse to ground instead of the usual resistance to pin 10. (the orange pigtail harness in the picture has the needed resistors)

In addition as stated on another post I have also figured out the heated steering retrofit for the E70. I will post a DIY for both once I tackle and complete them.
