I'd say since you havent heard good things about Lemforder, just go with Meyle HD. Regular Meyle would be same design as Lemforder, OE design.

I deal with both brands and between Meyle HD and Lemforder, both have had great feedback. Im not sure what country they are made in and you can ask FCP, but some people do care about that. Many brands have factories all over the world and some areas are preferred over others.
