I'm inclined to agree with you since both the M5 and M6 take 5w30. Same engine we have.

Anyways, I have a contact checking with the horses mouth in Munich to find the real deal. I'm trying to get get it in writing so when the dealership wants to put 10w60 in the engine, I can ask them why.
