Agreed, it's on the rotor.
Knowing this that dealer inspection is worthless, I would not trust their guess-estimate on this X5M. Anybody worth their weight in salt knows the minimum rotor thickness is stamped on the rotor.
If you are serious about the car pay the $200 and have a local BMW independent shop inspect it.
