I recommend buying a wireless webcam and point it at your driveway using the motion activated feature to find out who's effing with you. That's a lot cheaper than buying another ipod.
Where do you keep the keys when they aren't in your car? Could someone come into your house and grab them?
You should park your X5 in your garage. That would end your problem.
I had my car broken into twice during the one year I lived in CA. Just another reason I don't like the left coast.
