Like you said, its subjective. Go with what looks better to you. I love my 299m wheels painted flat black, they look mean in the summer and I like the concavity to them. I also use 300m wheels for my winter setup and both look equally good IMO. Some prefer the 300 and other the 299, all boils down to personal preference
