Wow, even my wife thought the 3.0 was underpowered when she drove it, once she drove the 4.8 there was no going back. Eventually we bought new with the turbo 6 which has the same specs with the 8 speed trans as the 4.8 had to 60 and quarter mile times.
It is hard to swallow the fuel consumption on the 4.8, but if you trailer, the 3.0 isn't enough, if your just using as a car, you can get away without the extra power.
