I've had both the 3.0 and 4.8. Driving wise I preferred the 3.0 because the front end seemed more nimble than the 4.8. The 4.8 is quite heavy. I thought the 4.8 would be alot faster, but it didn't feel like it to me. I mean it is faster, but maybe I had higher expectations?! Now the definite advantage is when you are on the highway and want to pass....the torque on the 4.8 is impressive. If I could've afforded it, I would've picked up the diesel, the best of both worlds. BTW, I went from a 3.0 to a 4.8 and recently bought a 3.0 again. 4.8 is definitely a gas guzzler. Its depressing to see the gas meter go down on the way back from the gas station!
