in the US, I think you have to buy the "Sport Package" to get the active steering. I'd like the active steering, but I didn't want the potentially stiffer sport suspension / adaptive drive option.

on the X6 35i/50im active steering is really $5500 option (sport package + active steering add-on),

what BMW should really do is just increase the base price $1500 and make it standard if it really makes the car better to drive.

oh well. still love my x6.
