I've driven a couple Lexus', Audi's and nothing compares to the bmw's in the luxury area for myself. I came from a JDM world so going Euro was a nice change when new/more features became available in my price range of purchasing cars

I have had the X5d for just under 2 years and added only 10k miles to it, the 335 gets the most miles in 6 years drove 90k, with the 740 falling way short at 14 years and drove 85k and all were CPO from the dealer.
The Audi is just sitting here, no one is driving it and it has less than 1k on it. The interior is nice so if you were driving the older Audis, they may have upgraded it. If it weren't for the seats, the luxury level is about the same. The seats are flat bottomed and have little bolstering but I bet the S3 versions have better seats.
