So in 2013 their was a design change in the transfer case on the x5 as the previous model was a bad design. Anybody know if the two are interchangeable, drive train and engine are the same but the transfer case is completely new.

I'm planing to change mine soon and am trying to weigh my options, I will probably just put the newly designed 2012 in their but if the 2013 is a better design and not prone to failure then that will be my wish.
